Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly is the difference between Standard and Premium Tier Tutoring?

Great Question! The Standard Tier is perfect for those simply wanting a bit of guidance and assistance navigating through school, or seeking a slight edge above their classmates. The Premium Tier is targeted at students who want their tutor's undivided attention to help them unlock their full academic potential. The premium Tier includes various features above the standard Tier, such as:

  • 24 hour Text Message feedback support
  • Unlimited Practice response marking and feedback
  • Study Plan assistance and routine guidance (free, not part of allocated lesson time)
  • Optional Weekly Quizzes for further testing

2. If these additional features come with the Premium Tier, does that mean that if I select the Standard Tier, I am not allowed to do things like submit practice responses or ask my tutor questions?

Of course not! Our tutors would be more than happy to help you as much as possible. Just keep in mind that our tutors usually have busy schedules to account for, and may not have time for large volumes of requests. This is why the Premium Tier was introduced - all tutors who teach at the Premium Tier are paid Premium wages to compensate for their extra workload!

3. If I initially choose the Standard Tier and after a few lessons want to upgrade to the Premium Tier, can I?

Yes of course! We want you to have the best possible experience with us and benefit from the plan that suits your needs the best. This also works the other way around - If you initially choose premium tier and feel it isn't the best fit for you, you can downgrade to standard tier for no extra cost. Simply send us an email or enquiry through the 'Contact Us' page on our website and we will sort it all out for you!

4. Is it possible to do 2-student or group tutoring as Flexible Hourly Tuition or am I restricted to only packages?

Yes, 2-student and group tutoring options are available as Flexible Hourly Tuition sessions. You will also gain access to lower prices per student in comparison to the standard flexible hourly rate for a single student. Simply send us an enquiry through the 'Contact Us' page on our website and we will reach out to you regarding the amended plans.

5. I want to get together with a group of 5+ friends to have 'mini-class' tutoring sessions. Do we get any lower prices?

Yes, we are definitely happy to negotiate a lower fee for larger groups of students. Simply send us an enquiry through the 'Contact Us' page on our website and we will reach out to you regarding updated pricing.

6. Are lessons fixed on a certain day and time every week?

It's completely up to you! All session scheduling will be negotiated between you and your tutor. We understand that some students have unpredictable schedules and cannot commit to a particular fixed day and time. If this describes you, we recommend selecting Flexible Hourly Tuition. Simply contact your tutor whenever you'd like a lesson, and they will arrange a time that suits both of your schedules. Although it's not guaranteed, most tutors are happy to continue this flexible arrangement throughout packages too.
